This painting has a unique history. It was started as as caged fire floating in the endless sea (see image below) and lived like that for almost a year till one morning in less than an hour it got transformed into the bird...
I still keep the photograph of the initial painting as a reminder of that magic metamorphoses. When I am old and famous I might describe it in my memoirs or let's biographers do - I am too lazy to write one :) .
