About the Artist
Karina Ishkhanova, born in Moscow in 1966. Moved to Canada in 1996.
Art for me is a magical puzzle: the great joy is to experience how colours applied to canvas suddenly form the meaning, each of them being a part of a grand dance moving and circling and finally finding that perfect place to reflect the viewer with the inner feelings and understanding.

Math and colours have accompanied me since childhood: by profession I am a software architect and what could help better to solve a complex development or programming problem than to envision it, give it body and vibrant skins and then just wait till it expresses itself with the answers.

Each of my paintings reflects a specific thought, idea or vision. I don't repeat my works. The "Paintings" page shows all of my works created so far and "In Progress" shows the ones I am currently working on.
